There are many caves in the region! It's always a wonder and they are all different.
It's ideal in the summer to keep cool.
- Grottes Trabuc in Miallet, lodge 45km ( 47 mn)
- Grottes de la Cocalière in Courry, lodge 53km ( 52 mn)
- Grottes des Demoiselles in St-Bauzille-de-Putois, lodge 54km ( 1h)
- Abîme de Bramabiau at St-Sauveur-Camprieu, lodge 106km ( 1h58)
- Aven d'Armand at Hures-la-Parade in Lozère, lodge 115km ( 2h10)

And this list is limited to those in the Gard plus one in Lozère (and I probably haven't visited them all!). Some have complementary activities or original means of transport.

Grottes de Trabuc

Located between Anduze and Saint-Jean-du-Gard, under the Cévennes National Park, the Grotte de Trabuc, a major cave, can be discovered by the whole family, on an interactive, scenographic and secure lighted trail, which brings you closer to authentic nature... the army of 100,000 soldiers is watching.

Grottes de la Cocalière

Near St Ambroix. A 1 hour walk accessible to all ages in an exceptional setting made of disks, cave pearls, crystal basin... The return journey is by small train.

Abîme de Bramabiau

Guided tour of about 1 hour along the underground river of happiness, after 30 minutes of descent to the abyss.

La Grotte des Demoiselles

The thousand fairies cave welcomes you for a supernatural journey in the heart of gigantic concretions. A funicular makes access easy for everyone: giant stalagmites and stalactites, calcite flows, translucent draperies, a veritable library of geological times.

Aven Armand

After a funicular ride down more than 100 metres underground, passionate guides will show you the virgin forest and its 400 stalagmites with changing light effects. The Aven Armand is located in Lozère, a little further away, but can be a pleasant addition to a visit to the Causse by following a picturesque route.
