Notice to game lovers: on May 25 and 26, the Comédie Harmondienne with the support of the City of Alès, presents the 1st Alès en Cévennes Game Festival at the Rochebelle Cultural Center, in Alès.
On Saturday May 25 and Sunday May 26, 2024, the different rooms of the Rochebelle Cultural Center will be made available to the public and will welcome all the fashionable worlds. Card games, role-playing games, figurine games, escape games, abstract games, wooden games, party games... There will be something for all tastes and for all ages!
Role-playing tables, led by “game masters”, will allow visitors to compete on around thirty boards.
Creators will also be present to share their passion and their best strategies with the public.
The “board game” zone will bring together 150 games to (re)discover, a space dedicated to children, as well as an exhibition and demonstration area of mathematical games proposed by Eurék’Alès. The associations Lézembouquinés de Lézan, Platôland de Molière-sur-Cèze, Escapons-nous de La Grand-Combe, l'Asso-Jeux de Boisset-et-Gaujac and Meeple's Services are also partners in the organization of this first Alésian festival in game.
Program
Saturday May 25:
- From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., puzzle lovers can come and exchange the puzzles they have already made and renew their stock.
- At 11 a.m., Wardrock painting will provide an introduction to basic figurine painting techniques.
- At 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., a giant werewolf game will be organized (27 players maximum).
- At 2:30 p.m., Wardrock painting will offer an introduction to Non-Metallic Metal.
- At 3:30 p.m., IMT Mines Alès will offer their Crisis Burger game (2 games are planned).
- At 5 p.m., visitors will be able to participate in the famous “Gagne ton papa” tournament, emblematic of events in the Alès region..
Sunday May 26:
- From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the games market will allow everyone to part with their old favorites and find new ones.
- At 11 a.m., preview presentation of the new expansion for the Flesh & Blood card game.
- At 2:30 p.m., speed painting competition offered by Meeple’s services..
